How It All Began
Share and Care Canada started with a small group of neighbours in Alberta who noticed a gap — families in their community struggling to access clean clothing, household supplies, and basic necessities, while usable items sat unused in closets and storage rooms across the province.
What began as informal collection drives quickly grew into something larger. With the support of local businesses, faith communities, and dedicated volunteers, we formalized our operations and established a clear mission: collect, clean, and distribute essential goods to those who need them most — with dignity and care at every step.
Today, Share and Care Canada operates across multiple Alberta communities, partnering with retailers, community organizations, and individual donors to ensure that clothing, cleaning supplies, books, and everyday essentials reach the hands of vulnerable individuals and families.

Every person who receives our support deserves to be treated with respect and care. We ensure every item we distribute is clean, sorted, and presented with that in mind.

We believe in the power of neighbours helping neighbours. Our work is only possible because of the generosity of Albertans who give their time, goods, and resources.

We take our responsibility seriously — to donors, recipients, and the communities we serve. Every donation is handled with care and distributed where it is needed most.

We serve anyone in need, regardless of background, circumstance, or identity. Our doors — and our donation bins — are open to all.

We are not a national organization with a local branch — we are a local organization, built by Albertans, for Albertans.
